Ubiquitous Communication Software Adopted
for Use with Nintendo DSiTM

A Code Size as Small as 50 KB Makes the Enhancement of Wireless LAN Communication Functions Possible

Ubiquitous Corporation [JASDAQ:3858] hereby announces that its communication software was adopted for the Nintendo DSi (*1), a portable game console product that Nintendo Co., Ltd. will put on the market on November 1 this year.

This communication software was developed on the basis of the ‘UbiquitousSAFE SSL,’ an SSL (Secure Socket Layer) module that performs secure communication with ‘UbiquitousTCP/IP,’ a TCP/IP protocol stack that is one of our key products.

Up to now, Ubiquitous has provided Nintendo with communication software for use with the Nintendo DS? in the form of a library included in the game software development kit that supports the Nintendo Wi-Fi Connection. In addition, our communication software that Nintendo has adopted this time will be preinstalled on the Nintendo DSi and used for the network communication function of applications supporting Wi-Fi communication such as the Nintendo DSi Browser, the download function of Nintendo DSiWare, and so forth.

In response to the enhancement of the Wi-Fi communication function of the Nintendo DSi, Ubiquitous provides a communication software version with improved communication speed.

Ubiquitous is committed to continuing to contribute to the networking of small-sized portable equipment through its ‘compact, efficient, and high-speed’ network software.
