Ubiquitous AI Leads IoT Security with Post-Quantum Cryptography Implementation for Low-Cost Microcontrollers— Accelerating the deployment of robust software solutions to meet 2030 quantum-secure standards —
TOKYO —November 11, 2025— Ubiquitous AI Corporation (TSE:3858) has been advancing research into post-quantum cryptography (PQC) since 2023 as a critical technology to counter increasingly severe cyberattacks. By enabling its implementation on Arm® Cortex®-M-based 32-bit microcontrollers, we now make it possible to integrate this cutting-edge security into low-cost IoT devices.
Ubiquitous AI has completed implementation and verification for FIPS 203, FIPS 204, and FIPS 205, standardized by National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST). Furthermore, for FALCON and HQC (currently undergoing standardization), implementation and verification based on the draft specifications have also been completed. We stand ready for NIST's final standardization.
With the advancement of quantum computers, the transition to post-quantum cryptography (PQC) is accelerating worldwide. NIST has called for the completion of this transition by 2035, noting that the widely used RSA 2048-bit algorithm is deemed secure only until December 31, 2030. Consequently, migrating to stronger cryptographic schemes has become an urgent necessity, particularly for long-term data retention. In Japan, this shift is already underway, as the national ID system (My Number Card)—which currently employs RSA 2048-bit encryption—moves toward robust technologies, including PQC.
Ubiquitous AI will continue to deliver solutions that meet the evolving needs of IoT devices, ensuring critical security infrastructures are prepared for the post-quantum era.
